Irrigation Design, Installation and Repair

Summit Landscape Services' irrigation experts help ensure the continued vitality of your yard through correct installation, maintenance and repair of a landscape irrigation system. We look for opportunities for water conservation through innovative design of irrigation systems tailored to your property. Always on call, our irrigation team guarantees quick response to all repair needs.

Our typical residential installation cost ranges from $1,000 to $5,000 and is completed in about two days.

All trenches are hand dug to disturb the existing landscape as little as possible. When the job is completed all beds and turf areas are left as they were before construction began.

We guarantee our work. We provide the most professional Rainbird or Hunter state-of-the-art system available.  We guarantee 100% coverage of all areas and a two-year parts and labor warranty excluding acts of God, vandalism, theft, or damage by others.

We have the experts. The State of Texas requires landscape companies to have a fully licensed irrigator on staff. Summit has John Parker, Jason Harrison and Jake Parker (TLI #3751 , ,  #12840) along with a licensed installer. We also are proud members of the Texas Turf Irrigation Association and the Houston Gulf Coast Irrigation Association.

Drainage

Developing a systemic plan for water evacuation is an integral part of your master landscape plan. We offer three types of drainage control, which can be used either separately or in conjunction with one another—Area drains, French drains, Soil contouring.

Area drains are simply catch basins of the appropriate size installed at the lowest point of the grounds. These basins then feed the water through underground piping to the drainage system. Area drains are most often used, and are most effective, in the middle of an open area, such as yards, patios and planter areas.

French drains are a time-honored system for eliminating excess water from low points and other areas prone to saturated soil. They are especially useful in collecting water that pools against foundations and walls. French drains are simple in design: basically they are just trenches filled with gravel and topped with sand. In some instances a drain pipe will be included in the design. French drains are a low cost, low maintenance system.

Soil Contouring is the art of shaping the land to increase the beauty, conserve the soil and manage drainage of the area. Proper soil contouring promotes an even flow of water to designated drainage areas without having harsh or abrupt changes in land profile.  Carefully contoured land conserves a great deal of water. Torrential rainfall can be slowed down to seep into, rather than erode, the land that it flows across.
